Jet Brings the Noise to Asbury Park
Jet, the legendary Australian rock band, made their return to New Jersey on September 22, 2026—this time taking over the iconic Stone Pony in Asbury Park. The last time I caught Jet with my camera in Jersey was way back in 2010 at the Starland Ballroom, so seeing them hit the stage again felt like a blast from the past.
Â
Jet absolutely stormed through the Pony with all the energy you'd expect from 2000s garage rock royalty. They put on a fantastic show for a packed house of excited fans, and the crowd went wild when they played their hits like "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" and "Cold Hard Bitch." Honestly, those songs still hit just as hard, and everyone sang along at the top of their lungs.
To make the night even cooler, David Bryan from Bon Jovi was hanging out—he's kind of a regular at the Pony and sometimes jumps on stage. This night was extra special, though, because he joined Jet for a killer rendition of "Wanted Dead or Alive." The entire place went crazy, belting out every word with them.
Â
Jet brought along The Retrograde, a rock 'n' roll band from Tallahassee, Florida, as their opener. The Retrograde totally won the crowd over and set the tone for an awesome night.
Â
All in all, it was an epic evening of rock 'n' roll at The Stone Pony. If you ever get the chance to see Jet live, don’t miss it.
